COVID sees Family Law Company see gross profits surge by 58%

It is notable that this article borders on outright celebration of the profit and share increases seen in family law firms resulting from increased divorce levels.

Its not great PR for the family law industry.

No mention of the human agony that it involves.  The heightened levels of suicide associated with those same separations. The children that may lose one of their parents. The grandparents that may never again see their grandchildren. 

It's actually quite hard to think of a more gory celebration of money obtained from the misery of others. 

One can but hope that the increased profits might see their way back into those enormously overstretched charities with every day (financially struggling) Aussie volunteers giving their precious time and doing their utmost to prevent suicide in those same separating couples. 

We're not holding our breath.
