COVID impact to send divorce rate soaring

Unfortunately, Australia’s divorce rate looks set to skyrocket as coronavirus restrictions and ongoing job losses take their toll.

At the end of June, Google searches for the term ‘divorce’ have surged to their highest level in 12 months. The number was even higher than the usual post-Christmas spike.

Reports say that couples in QLD’s Gold Coast and NSW’s Central Coast are the most unhappy, followed by those in Adelaide, Canberra and Perth.
