In memory of Garry Couper, DIDs volunteer

It's been a sad week for the family support sector.

On Tue 16th we lost former Senator John Madigan and today we've heard that a Victoria based dad that was working towards opening a DIDs group in Wonthaggi, passed the next day; Wed 17th June.

Details have yet to emerge.

For those that attend our support groups online and in-person, please think of Garry and of John Madigan in your one minute silence this coming week.

We know that Garry was extremely busy working in various capacities but that he still found time to volunteer for several good causes.  Of all that he was busy with, he chose to make his new and developing role with PBB his featured one on LinkedIn profile. Talking to him a little time back, we knew how much our work meant to him.

Garry leaves two children, Sam and Jess. Our thoughts are with them and Garrys family at this time.

On behalf of all of us at PBB and Dads in Distress support services, vale Garry Couper.

May you rest in peace.

“Only a moment you stayed, but what an imprint your footprints have left on our hearts.”
